What is “The Big Picture”? The Big Picture is my label, my identity. But the real big picture is the creator behind the creation. The artist that paints the magnificent sunsets and sunrises, the master craftsmen who molds a baby while still in his mother’s womb, and who keeps the cosmic array of galaxies in perfect harmony. He is our God, the awesome and powerful creator of the universe.

About Me

- My name is Elijah, I am a 18 year old homeschooling student living in the suburbs of the Twin Cities. My passion is photography, and my life is focused on living out everyday for Christ, and doing all things through Him. I want people to see Christ through me, and hopefully through my photography and writing as well.
My Philosophy
I believe that the art of photography (as well as all other arts) has a power. A power all its own, a power so great it can impact even the hardest or persons. But even more so, I believe photography is a way to communicate. With the way a picture can touch someone, no matter what language they speak, what they believe in, or even how young or old they may be. Photography is Gods gift, a gift that can (and should) be used to show His beauty and His design in this world. It is for that same reason I want to become a great photographer, so I can help the world see the big picture. Matthew 5:16 says:
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
That… That is why I want to make great photos. So I can say "God made that, look how amazing He is". And so when someone tells me how great I am, I can say "I have no talent except what He has given me". I want to bring glory and honor to His name through my work!

My work
Over the course of the '07-'08 school year I have been privileged enough to do event photography as well as my nature photography. I have shot many events for a local church, as well as events for the ND-20061, an AFJROTC Corps in Fargo, ND. I also had the opportunity to do a wedding shoot and a senior portrait session in the month of June '08. That is the extent of the "official/unofficial" work I have done since beginning my interest in photography. I hope that this year I will be able to do more events and expand my portfolio for my future career.

I love the first one. She seems like she would have many stories to tell, I would love to sit down with her and listen! Haha. Plus the one of her hands is great, very intriguing.
